Human Geo 10/22 - Review of cia questions

Today all we did was go over and discuss the why Mr. Schick decided to make us answer that particular question. We also went over what the numbers really meant, and why they were at that number. Also the infant mortality rate is how many kids under the age of one die. That is apparently on the test.

Khan Academy: 1. Demographic Transition is a model that changes with a country's population. 2. Growth rate measures how much population grows or shrinks over a period of time. 3. Most countries were at stage 1 until the 18th century. The Demographic Transition Theory: 1. Population grew at 67,000 people per year in 1750 - compared to now we get that in 6-7 hours. 2. In 1804 population hit 1bil and in 1999 hit 6bil The Khan Academy was the most helpful - She has a nice voice and the drawings make it seem more personal. The second one, I didn't like the lady she talks too slow. The third, the guy needs to get a better mic that hurt my head to watch and it was definitely less organized.

Western Civ 6/1 - letter to my future self

I will try to make this as least corny as I can possibly make it, since this type of thing usually is a little corny. I hope you are alive and well, we would not want to die young. Currently, in 2020, there are quite a few things happening. We are in a global pandemic with the virus Covid-19, and there is rioting and looting across the U.S. due to the Black Lives Matter movement. Coronavirus has us out of school and doing online assignments, businesses have been closed for the past 2 months and are just now opening back up (the mall still isn’t open  ). Christiana mall in Delaware was supposed to open today (June 1, 2020) but now is delayed because they don’t want to get looted like another Delaware mall. I spent multiple hours last night watching the rioting, and from what I saw and what was broadcasted on the news this morning, the cops are the reason they become violent. It was the same pattern in nearly every city, people would be peacefully protesting, the cops would show up ...
